Repent!

I’ll preach to a naked bumble-bee.

(What’s a naked bumble-bee?)  One that ain’t got no clothes on!

God can take lightning and give you a haircut without touching your ear.

Anything’s better than them foxholes.

Time for monkey business is out.
 

Try Jesus!

A man without Jesus is like a dog.

I know God is good ‘cause I got shoes on both feet.

You can’t make grown folks do nothing.

God can make a bow-legged ant drive an Amtrak train.

I got good sense.

There are 3 kinds of preachers: God-called; Devil-called; and one that goes on his own.  Ain’t nobody called him he just went.

Seek the Lord while He may be found.  Call upon Him while He is near.

You got a witness!

There’s a difference between union and unity.  If you tie a cat’s tail to a dog’s tail you’ll have union but I declare you ain’t got no unity!

You smile like you love Jesus.

Don't ever say what you won't do.  You don't know what you're gonna do until the test comes.

That stuff will burn you up!

You’d better know God for yourself.

It’s working.

Pray for the preacher.

What’s done in the dark will be brought to the light.

Don’t settle for God’s good when you can have God’s best.

Don’t take me back to Egypt!

It is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

What parents allow in moderation, kids do in excess.

What the head forgets, the feet will remember.

Since you can’t remember not to slam the door, why don’t you practice opening and closing the door until I get tired.

If at first you don’t succeed, try and try again.

All things are lawful but not all things are expedient.

He that knoweth to do right and doeth it not, to him it is a sin.
